Who Is Behind TCDR?
Twin Cities Drum Rescue was founded by professional drumsmith Matt Marshall. Though he grew up in Holmen, WI, Matt relocated to Minneapolis in 1993 to pursue a career playing music. Matt’s passion for repairing and customizing old drums comes from years spent playing on found or falling-apart kits.
After moving to Minneapolis, Matt apprenticed under Kelly Cook, a professional drumsmith at Ellis Drum Shop, a long-standing St. Paul company. Now, Matt offers drum repair and refurbishing services from his home workshop. He also offers drum lessons for ages 3+ and has developed drum clinics for kids in his community.
